BE IT ENACTED BY THE YOUTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA YOUTH LEGISLATURE –
All Non-church Backed Minnesota Hospitals Perform Abortions.
The purpose of this bill is to offer all pregnant females who need an abortion, a safe way to perform the procedure,
without putting the female in danger.
SECTION II - JUSTIFICATION
Abortion is legal in Minnesota, but there are only 8 known clinics that offer the procedure. An abortion is a medical
procedure that all non-church backed hospitals should offer to pregnant women who need them, as it could put the woman
in life-threatening danger to give birth.
SECTION III - DEFINITIONS
Abortion: The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.
A need for an abortion would be one of the following; medical risk, life-threatening, incest, rape, and/or
underage/under the legal age of consent. Pregnant during the first trimester is the approved time period for abortions.
The first trimester is the only time period women can get abortions, as stated by country law.
No funding, the hospitals have the necessary tools.
SECTION V – PENALTIES/ENFORCEMENT
If non-church backed hospitals fail to give an abortion to pregnant women during the first trimester when it is a
life-threatening, incest, rape, medical risk, under the legal age of consent situation, then they will have to pay 5,000
dollars to a state-sponsored funding for women who need financial help to afford an abortion for every procedure they
