BE IT ENACTED BY THE YOUTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA YOUTH LEGISLATURE –
Integrating Ai Safety Classes in Public School In MN
The purpose of this bill is it this will teach students how to use AI safely from a young age. Students will learn how
to use AI for research and what to enter in the search engine to get the best information. When students know how to use
AI to get the best results they can, it will be time effective as well as allowing the class to move at a faster rate.
Teaching students how to use AI will benefit them and their futures.
SECTION II - JUSTIFICATION
Over 75% of global companies use AI in some way, shape, or form. Due to these trends, 80% of companies over the world
are now looking for people that are AI certified and/or AI proficient. Therefore, students who know how to use AI safely
and efficiently will be a better asset to companies. Banning AI in schools will prevent students from learning how to
use it,and in the future they won’t know how to use it in the workplace. AI is becoming a more and more active issue in
the world because of that students should know how to use it properly for them to succeed in the future. Another factor
on why this should be implemented is that fact AI is set to take over many short term jobs by the year 2030, and this
could negatively impact the economy.Putting these classes in would allow for the people to present as a better asset for
companies and in total not get replaced by AI.
