BE IT ENACTED BY THE YOUTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA YOUTH LEGISLATURE –
An act to
Reduce the number of Inmates in Minnesota

SECTION I - PURPOSE
This bill will significantly reduce the number of prisoners in Minnesota. This will be achieved by having inmates who
have a longer sentence fight for their freedom in a battle royale type game. The last prisoner standing will get their
sentence completely eliminated, and their record cleared. This will reduce prison costs because the reduced number of
inmates will decrease the amount of money spent on taking care of inmates. Prisoners will be transported from the prison
they are staying in to an enclosed section of northern Minnesota, and they will fight until there is one left. The
enclosed are will also contain items to help them complete the inmates task of being the last one standing.

SECTION II - JUSTIFICATION
This bill is necessary to help empty Minnesota prisons, and free money to go to other projects in the state.
