BE IT ENACTED BY THE YOUTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA YOUTH LEGISLATURE –
An act to
Ban on assault rifles in non designated areas.
 
SECTION I - PURPOSE
This would prevent death and shootings all over Minnesota.
 
SECTION II - JUSTIFICATION
If this bill was to be passed, assault rifles would be banned in non designated areas. A designated area would be a
shooting range or private hunting area. A person who currently owns an A.R would turn it in for a small amount of money.
 
SECTION III - DEFINITIONS
Assault rifles banned in non designated areas.
 
SECTION IV - FUNDING
The funding would be from the taxes of the people.
 
SECTION V – PENALTIES/ENFORCEMENT
The police would enforce this. If an A.R is seen in a non designated area the owner will be arrested.
 
SECTION VI – EFFECTIVE DATE
January 1st 2027
