An act to
Raise the daily wage of a citizen serving on a jury

SECTION I - PURPOSE
The purpose of this bill is to raise the daily wages of a juror serving in court from 20 dollars per day to 75 dollars

SECTION II - JUSTIFICATION
A legal duty for citizens of the United States of America is-if asked-to serve on a jury. This forcing to be on jury can
cause a vast amount of problems for these citizens, one of them being the pay for being a juror is just $20 per day in
Minnesota. This low pay can become detrimental to citizens struggling with financial issues, with them being forced to
be on jury with receiving very little compensation and not working for an undetermined amount of time.

SECTION III - DEFINITIONS

Payment for this bill could be received from increased taxes for those making five times, or more, above the poverty

Courts that don’t comply will be at risk to receive financial cuts
